he Vhembe Bursary, formally known as the Vhembe District Municipality Mayoral Bursary Fund, is a tertiary education funding programme offered by the Vhembe District Municipality in Limpopo Province, South Africa. It’s designed to provide financial support to academically capable but financially disadvantaged students from the Vhembe District so they can pursue higher education at recognised tertiary institutions. 🎓 Who Can Apply? The bursary is open to: South African citizens who are permanent residents of the Vhembe District Municipality area. Matriculants (Grade 12 learners) planning to start tertiary study. Current tertiary students enrolled in accredited institutions (depending on availability and eligibility). Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds who can demonstrate financial need. 🎯 Areas of Study Covered The bursary supports students pursuing Diploma or Bachelor’s degrees in a variety of fields that align with local development priorities, including but not limited to: Administration & Management Engineering (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mining, Chemical) Business, Finance, Accounting Agriculture & Environmental Studies Information Technology Tourism & Youth Development Learners must have obtain 60% plus on their overall perfomance .
